ABSA Credit Claims Department Missing.

I have tried to submit a claim with absa regarding the diagnosis of a terminal illness from life cover taken out on my ABSA credit card since 05 March 2018. A month later, and the credit claims department are still trying to dodge the claim. So much so, that Gershin Roberts sent me an email with an attached document for cancellation of the policy on "my request" last saturday. How stupid do they think I am?

The agreement signed between the bank and I clearly states this cover. I even sent them a scanned copy as proof, but as per normal you have to call them youself to get answers (usually "we are investigating").

I placed a post on Hello Peter a week ago, and I recieved a response from Nthabiseng Sibande apologising over the matter, and said that they would look into the matter. Here is a summary of what has happened since; *28 March 2018 - telephone call from Ratau Mogajane, stating that I am not covered for diagnosis of terminal illness. * Sent copy of signed agreement to Ratau Mogajane. (in spite of him stating that he would prove to me that there would be no cover). * Contacted Ratau 3 times by telephone - line dropped. * Sent email to Ratau asking if he recieved email, was able to open and read contents clearly. * Recieved response that the email had been recieved, was able to open and read contents. Ratau confirmed that diagnosis of terminal illness was covered on signed document, and he would discuss with his supervisor. * 29 March 2018 12h03 I sent an email to Ratau requesting feedback. * Recieved response stating that claim was being "investigated". Last response was at 13h11. * Sent an email to Retau asking if he had spoken to his manager, and if he had any feedback. * No response recieved. * 02 April 2018 16h32 I sent an email to Ratau requesting answers to my unanswered questions. * 02 April 2018 I recieved an out of office response, indicating that Ratau would be back at work on 19 April 2018. * 04 April 2018 10h29 I sent Given Sengoai an email requesting answers to my questions, as she was copied on all mails throughout. *04 April 2018 I recieve an email stating that Given is on training for the day.

That is ABSA service in reality. Ive put up with enough nonsesnse from call centres, "consultants" and the rest of their bull dust, so please ABSA, dont bother responding with a "we will look into the problem" 'valued customer" garbage. Im not interrested.

As there is no clarity or co operation from the credit claims department, this claim will now be escalated to the Ombudsman. (Claim no ********** ).
