ABSA credit card ripping me off

I have this year March 2024 opened a credit card,

I have noticed that every month an additional amount of R515 ( finance charge) is debited from my account after a stipulated debit order of R818

In December 2024 just before the debit order date I paid an amount of R1300 upfront in order but to be charged for the R515 for interest also the debit order was debited which is fair

My question is why would I be charged the R515 interest if I have paid R1300 upfront, am I ever going to settle my account.

Absa is ripping us off. I called the credit card department and the lady that was assisting me asked me to ask the bank to hand over my account ( that really upset who wants to have a bad record)

Does absa not consider that an extra amount was paid before the debit order date in order not to be charged for interest?

The way I hate absa, I can’t wait finish it off
