ABSA CREDIT CARD *****

On 18 October 2018 my phone got ****** out of my bag at Parkview Shopping Centre in Pick n Pay, Pretoria East. There was video footage that show how a pregnant lady took my phone while I was busy looking at the dresses. I realized it about 10 minutes later. I immediately went to the MTN store to block my number. I opened a case at the Garsfontein Police Station on 19 October 2018.

On 21 October 2018 I wanted to use my cheque card and it declined, after I tried my credit card it also declined and I realized that something was wrong. When I went to the ATM to check my balances, all my money was gone. I immediately phoned the ABSA ***** Department to report the ****** money. The lady on the phone asked me if I didn't transfer R55000 on the 18th of October for a deposit on a flat to a Capitec account and R1000 again on the 19th of October for transport, where I told her that I did not know of any of that. They used my banking app on my phone to transfer the money from my credit card and cheque card. They created an unknown beneficiary. ABSA did not notify me about any of these transactions.

After that, Mosidi Moloi, ***** Specialist from ABSA made contact with me regarding documents like the affidavit that they need. I sent through all the documents on 23 October 2018 and never heard from her again. I tried to contact her via email on 16 November 2018 and 27 November 2018 and asked if there was any news about the case and she did not reply.

On 1 December 2018 I went to ABSA Woodlands after interest of R3500 went off in my cheque account for the ****** money. When I phoned the credit and ***** department they never even knew about the case because Mosidi Moloi never forwarded the documents to the correct department. I asked them to stop the debit order for interest because it is on the ****** money. So they stopped the debit order and told me it won't go off again.

Today, 12 January 2019, I realized that another R2170 went off in my savings account on 9 January 2019 again for interest on the ****** money. No one notified me that it will be going off and I did not receive a sms.

I am so dissapointed in ABSA as I have not heard anything about the ***** case and it is almost 3 months later. How is it possible for them to not get in touch with me in 3 months and take money from my accounts without notifying me for money that was ****** from me. I still can't use my ABSA online banking app after visiting the branch a few times now. I can't create new beneficiaries, redeem my ABSA rewards, buy airtime or login to my banking app from my phone.
