ABSA CREDIT CARD DEBIT

Good day,<br> <br> I tried to draw money this morning just to find out that ABSA Credit Card has put through a journal debit on my account of R5000!<br> The credit card has been stopped 6 years ago and payments are made as I can afford it. I think it is R9000 in total that is outstanding.<br> <br> I have tried to contact the call centre, but the response is that they are allowed to do this.<br> <br> Is there no law protecting me? I don't mind a debit as this is money due, but surely someone could have confirmed with me what payment I can afford?<br> <br> This R5000 is my petrol and food money for the month. <br>
