Absa credit card. Approved and then application canceled

I app**** for a credit card on the 31st October every process was done. Received an email that my application has been approved. I must wait for the courier to phone me. On the 2nd of the November I followed up on my application on line. Only to find the application was canceled not sure why. I again app**** on the consultant phone me to confirm and get all the details advised me that my application was approved i will get an email to confirm. I'm still waiting for that application two application for a credit card and I cannot understand what's going on. Why not just decline the card and let me kho. I don't qualify
