ABSA contravening the POPI act

ABSA just sent an email to more than 300 recipients with the subject "AVAF - Original Natis 24 2", and in the process exposed all their email addresses. They are apparently not aware of the POPI act yet.

Absa phoned me personally to apologise. I appreciate it that they took this matter so seriously and I'm sure they will be doing something about it.
