Absa close Garage card without notice while on leave and more

I was on leave 700km from home and the day I wanted to come back home I filled up my car and when I wanted to pay the filling station told me that the card is declined. I had my two grand children in the car of which one was a 3 year old Cerebral Palsy sufferer.

Absa did not even send me a sms to warn me that they have taken away my facility. BAD BAD SERVICE!!!

I then had to find a bank in a place I do not know to try and draw money to pay for the fuel. The children were tired and very difficult after a while. I was very humiliated to say the least.

Today I got a sms that my overdraft has been taken away from me. No acc ount nr given and no reason given by Absa. They have the cheek to tell me in the sms that I HAVE TO PHONE THEM to find the details.

I am an estate agent and do not get paid at month ends like people earning a salary. Today I might be in overdraft and tomorrow I might be in the "blue" again.

Absa who knows my position, has now pulled the carpet out under me TO ENSURE that I will be worse off now. (Like kicking somebody when he's on the floor!!)

I do not answer "Private calls" on my cellphone , which do not identify themselves. I think thats quite fair - as ALL PRIVATE CALLS WANT TO SELL SOMETHING TO YOU.

It is not the first time I had problems with ABSA.
