ABSA client victim of *****elent Capitec Client

I saw an add on OLX for a Opel Corsa Bakkie and I wanted to purchase it. I spoke to a person called Leon (GL Grierson - Invalid ID nr: ********** 018081). Please see the attachments of the payment for R10 000.00 that I made to the account of: C Maake Capitec account nr ********** 315 as well as the OLX add and my sms's trail to and from L Grierson. The payment was made at about 22:00 the 29th of November and the morning of the 30th of November I realized that I've been ****med. When I tried to call GL Grierson on his cellphone nr ********** 667 he didn't answer nor did he reply on my sms's that I've send this morning. I immediately (8:00 on the 30th of November) phoned ABSA (told them the story) and had to send the proof of my payment to ********** . I then phoned Capitec on their toll free number and the lady that helped me said that she had put a block on the account of C Maake and that I need to visit the nearest Capitec branch and the SAPS.I then visited your Tygervalley Branch and spoke to the consultant (Annelie). She and her colleagues was extremely helpful and I really appreciate that. She also confirmed that their was indeed a block on this account. The ref nr I received from her was: # ********** 0. I then went to the Bellville SAPS to open a ***** case. The case nr that I received from the SAPS is: CAS 853/11/2017 and the detective working on the case is Sergeant CI Louw. ABSA requested a affidavit from me which I provided to them on Friday. This morning I just received a one liner from ABSA: Please note that Capitec has responded and there are no funds to claim.

I don't know who on ABSA or Capitec's side handled the case. I never received ANY email or feedback from Capitec. When I was at Capitec Tygervalley they went into the account of C Maake and I caught a glimpse of the account statement. This account was not 'n new account because there were numerous transactions on that specific account. They weren't allowed to tell me whether or not my money is still in the account ( because I'm not a Capitec client).

On Capitec's facebook account they clearly states: 'If you fall victim to *****, we will do everything in our power to reimburse you'

YES - I did report the ***** IMMEDIATELY NO - I did not share my pin with anyone NO - I did not enter my banking details and pin on a ********** website

A oneliner from ABSA (which apparently they received from Capitec) is just not right!

I want proper feedback and a reimbur*****t for money lost due to a ********* with a Capitec Account. Has this client been FICA'ed?

I've been an ABSA client for ever and this is the treatment I receive after a traumatic insident like this?
