ABSA CLAIM NOT APPROVED
Good day
My ID nr - ********** 037083
Phone nr - ********** 134
I am very unhappy with ABSA'S attitude towards my claim that was put in on February 2018.
I was appointed in a professional post at t he SANDF, Lohatla, Northern Cape as a Dental Auxi****y.
In February 2012, I took out insurance for Disability, illnesses. etc. The broker that consulted me is from ABSA, Petrus De Klerk.
At this stage he is not available, as he was declared medically unfit.
I was working with Riaan from Absa relating to my claim CELL NR ( ********** ).
When I took out the insurance, together with life insurance in 2012, the broker never sent me for a medical examination, but he only asked me if I have any SERIOUS illnesses, which I did not have at that stage.
I told him that I have a lot of stress and feel depressed sometimes, due to circumstances at my work.
I was falsely accused and victimized by my head of the department, where there was a investigation opened by me at our workplace. While the investigation was ongoing, he passed away in a tragic car accident.
I was through it all, continuously at my work. I was admitted for short periods of time at 3MIL hospital in Bloemfontein, and that was a suggestion from my local Doctor, as they wanted to get me out of the toxic circumstances at work, because I did not even have time to process the death of 9 people, which happened right in front of my eyes at SANDF Lohatla.
I was on incapacity leave from 28/09/2017 - 31/12/2017.
I was declared unfit by the HPCSA where I was registered as a dental Auxi****y.
I was working in a scares s****ed position, where I could have worked up to the age of 65.
After a brain scan by Neurologist DR Auths, I was diagnosed with Dementia and Brain Atrophy, which made it impossible for me to work in that profession, which my insurance was for, should something like this ever happen.
I could not go on with my job, or join the reserve force any further after the latest diagnosis, and I cancelled my registration at the HPCSA because they declared me unfit.
(ALL THE DETAILS AND NECESSARY PAPERWORK IS AT THE INSURANCE DEPARTMENT AT ABSA as handed in in February 2018)
The depression is a controllable illness and I was able to work to my full capacity. Dementia is the progressive deterioration of multiple cortical functions such as memory, comprehension thinking, orientation and judgement.
The studies done surrounding the relationship between depression and dementia were inconclusive.
They declined my claim twice already, due to my depression, which was not the primary diagnosis which was claimed for. There are thousands of people living with depression and still working to their full capacity. I claimed according to the diagnosis I got, AND which was not planned for at all.
Can you please assist me in this matter?
