ABSA Charging me for an Account that has been terminated according to their records!!!

After asking to have my ABSA Credit Card cancelled, ABSA caried on charging me the normal monthly fee for almost a year in refraining from cancelling the account as per my request.

I then decided to ask them for a new card seeing that I am paying for the facility.

They came back with the following response, "“the reissue department has declined your request based on the fact that the product has been terminated!”

I received the above email correspondence on 13 February 2023 confirming the termination, but this morning 17 February 2023 I receive a statement with monthly fee yet again that I have been paying for more than a year.

THIS IS ABSURD!!!!!!!!!!!
