ABSA changing their mind and blaming customers for their lack of clarity.

I received a message about 3 months of payment relief. I was grateful as while I am not in distress many of my clients are. I don't at all mind that it means my bond will continue for an additional 3 months. But for now the R25000 in total is a huge relief. Yesterday I got a call telling me My bond is 2 months in arrears. I queried this as they had offered me 3 months. I was then told I did not comply with the terms and conditions with regard to the relief offer.

Here the message I got Personal details removed: Absa: Dear **************, as a response to the impact of Covid19 on our customers, Absa Home Loans would like to offer you a 3 month payment relief plan starting from 5/10/2020. Although interest will continue to charge on your account for the 3-month period of relief, we will extend your agreement term to ensure that your repayment amount is not negatively impacted.
