Absa change details with customers knowledge

I have an Absa loan that I pay back on debit order. Recently at Sandton City Absa I requested to change my debit order date. This could not be done in branch but I was assisted through the Absa phone in branch. New debit order date was set and confirmed by consultant to be the 28th. On 28July this debit order was suppose to go off the same banking details I have always used, but no debit order. No contact either from Absa. Today, 3 August I contacted Absa collections and Cindy informed me that my account is in arrears because my debit order banking details was canceled. I never requested this or was informed of this change. Due to Absa and their carelessness I now have to make a manual payment, set up my banking details again for debit order(branch only) and more then likely have a credit history damaged by Absa. I have been with Absa for a long time, but this is not a good experience or service at all.
