ABSA CAUSE NEGATIVE CREDIT RATING

I opened a Absa Personal loan in October 2019 at the Matrix Student Branch at Wits University in Braamfontein. The loan amount was paid out to me on the 08th of October and the contract showed that my first installment would be debited from my account on 25 October 2019. The installment did not go off on my account on the 25th of October. I waited for a few days and then went to enquire at the Matrix Branch where I app**** for the loan. I spoke to the consultant Terrence who consulted with one of his colleagues and advised me that my first installment would only be debited on the 25th of November 2019. Their reasoning was that because of the loan being opened in October and paid out on the 08th the first installment would only be effective in November. The 25th of November came and the installment again was not debited from my account. I went back to the branch on 26 November during my lunch time between 13:00 and 14:00 to enquire and was assisted by a different consultant. She checked my profile on their system and confirmed that the debit order would go off in the evening on the 26th. The debit did not go off again. I went back to the branch on the 28th of November 2019 and consulted with Ajay I am not sure what his surname is. He contacted the Personal Loans Department and was advised by them that my account was in arrears for two months and that my account was handed over to their attorneys. He then contacted the attorneys and they requested that I pay the installment for November and make arrangements to bring the October installment up to date. I arranged with the attorneys to debit my account on the 28th of November 2019. Yet again for the 3rd time the installment did not go off from my account. I contacted the attorneys on 29 November 2019 and the consultant ensured me that the debit would go off by Saturday 30 November 2019. I went back the branch on 02 December 2019 because the debit order did not go off for the fourth time. I consulted again with Terrence Leluma who then arranged for my personal loan to be linked to my savings account. I did a transfer from the ATM from my savings account into the personal loan for the November installment that was charged with interest plus a separate amount of R500 to be allocated to the October installment. I have now been handed over to the attorneys and my credit profile is affected negatively.I am very frustrated because due to Absa's system or staff incompetence I have to suffer financially every month untill the October installment is paid up, interest is charged and my credit profile is affected negatively. I would like Absa to reverse the interest and instruct the credit bereau clear the non payment indicator on my profile. This is not my fault. I have been up and down to the branch to ensure that the installments are paid with no success. I was previously on debt review and worked hard to restore my credit profile and Absa managed to destroy five years of sacrifice within two months.

Dear Daphne

Thank you for your response. Please note that I have not received feedback from Absa yet.
An unauthorized amount of R3 610,89 was transferred from my savings account into my personal loan today on 17/12/2019. I paid an amount of R4 569.26 (which was the installment plus interest on 02/12/2019 and another amount of R500,00 on the 02/12/2019 which was the amount that I agreed to with the Absa attorneys to bring the account up to date. I did not received any notification for the R3 610,89 today that went off from my account. I only realized that money was missing from my account when I went to the ATM.This is totally unaccepted. The debit order was not set up properly and this is why my account went into arrears and also due to misinformation that I mentioned in my complain. Absa took the R3 610,89 from my like *******. I will report the matter to the ombudsman.
