Absa Card, Premium Banking, DSV Mounties bad expierience
I'm very frustrated with the order process of my new Premium banking card card, and the amount of effort I had to go through, and issue not resolved. In short, timeline below:
23/08 - Complete online application to upgrade gold to premier
29/08 - Received call that a new application was approved, although I only wanted to upgrade, Resubmit
31/08 - Receive confirmation that application was approved, card will be send in 3 days, face to face delivery.
05/09 - received sms card will be delivered 06/09
06/09 - No call to confirm location etc, recevie sms from absa that card was delivered -***, to who?
06/09 - Get SMS that someone is trying to port my cellphone number, now im very worried.
06/09 - Phone Absa premier banker (19h54) , no real concern from them, tell me that the card will be at the Absa branch probably, clearly no training received on what is the meaning of face to face delivery, tell me to follow up with DSV, no effort made really, so much for premium banking.
07/09 - 08:18 Phone DSV, call time 12 minutes, cost R9.48, Apparantly the card was delivered to some place in Florida,JHB. I signed for the card and presented a id (***?), they will escalate the matter, will received feedback asap.
07/09 - 11:27, Phone DSV again, call time 27 Minutes, R 21.33, very unfriendly , eventually put on hold , then cut off.
07/09 - 11:54, Phone DSV again, Call time 26 Minutes R 20.54, Ntabhi more helpful , advise that its escalated to Absa as possible *****, they will investigate ,and the line managers will come back to me.
07/09 - Tried Premier banking chat online, transcript #923315, app not working properly , gave up after no response
07/09 - Incoming Call received 13:17 , No Caller Id, No Name. Foreign Accent, From DSV apparently. We recovered the delivered card and it will be delivered to you tomorrow. Card was never delivered.
08/09 - Incoming Call received 7:11 , No Caller Id, No Name. From DSV apparently. Sorry we cannot deliver today. OK i confirm delivery for Tuesday 12 Sep.
11/09 - notice 2 ********** transactions on credit card, phone absa ***** line, 10:36. They will have to put my card on hold for 3 days. Since its the only card i have it means no transactions for 3 days. No money for 3 days. ***, now Im not sure if it is my current gold card, or the new card i am to receive or what. A real no care attitude.
12/09 - No card yet, no call from DSV, phone them at 12:17,Duration 53 Minutes R41.87 Phundi argues but we did deliver your card, full circle again. Speak to Mohammed, Really helpful, but also clueless on the situation. After to and fro they find another package apparently on the way to me , confirm address.
So I might get a card today, Maybe. Then will the new premium card worked, or is it stopped? If it must be replaced, who will foot the bill. My time is more valuable that the cost of all the calls , but who will refund call cost.
I'm tired of fighting and following up now. Who knows how many other cards will the DSV driver deliver to wrong people, is it perhaps a syndicate. DSV have no recollection of the calls I received Thursday or Friday. Why is there 2 packages all of a sudden?
I expect better from Absa, especially with this new service offering, so disappointing and frustrated. Just wasting my time.
