Absa Card *****

I was notified of ***** payments on my credit card via sms and immediately called the ABSA ***** hotline in order to stop my credit card. This was on Friday 22 October 2021. They stopped the card and informed me that an investigator would be in contact with me. They assured me that a new card would be delivered to my closest branch in Fourways.

Today is Wed, 27 October 2021. Still have not heard from them. Still no credit card.

I called them 3 times... first being told to go to the credit card department then being told to get back to *****.

Finally someone told me that the new card was never ordered. When asked about the amounts that were ****** from me they informed me that an investigator was meant to be in touch.

After I called (almost a week later) the investigator calls and tells me that to get the ****** money back I need to go and get a police affidavit and a case number, and a copy of my credit card in order to receive my money back.

This is almost a week after the ***** happened and still no credit card. Still no refund.

The bottom line is that your credit card is not as safe as you may think it is with Absa.

They will not refund you when someone de-*****s your credit card unless you go to the police, get a case number, provide them with copies of your card etc etc.
