Absa can't tell me why

Gooday hopefully I will get a answer via this platform.

I went in the branch to apply for a credit card and was told I can't be helped because I have an outstanding amount of R8000 the and the person who assisted can't tell me why I owe the money they gave me a number called in the branch but I was not help trying to sort this out but can't speak to someone who can assist.
