ABSA can't help me with my banking accounts without my fingerprints???

Why do ABSA need my finger prints for me to transact on my accounts???? I have an account with ABSA which I want linked to my internet banking and re-activated. I go to the branch because I cannot be helped telephonically despite everyone moving to no contact interactions. The lady at customer services says they cannot help me unless ABSA has my finger prints? I refuse to give ABSA my fingers fingers so I am told they cannot help me. Why are my finger prints needed for me to conduct banking services??? I request to speak to management and am told by Ziwhle Sebati she is acting branch manage and ABSA cannot help me without my fingerprints.
