Absa cannot have it both ways. They must compensate when the cannot provide promised benifits
Absa sells its premier accounts based on airport lounge access. This represents a real money benefit and if the anual lounge benefits is exceeded, the one has to pay real money to access the lounge. I arrived at cape town International today to find the lounge is closed for 2 Months. This is now a real cost to me as I specifically did not have breakfast before. I truly believe if absa cannot offer the service it promises, and that has real money benefit (and cost if not offered) the absa should make alternative arrangements or reimburse for the value of a lounge entrance. The cannot hove it both ways where they can ask for payment if lounge access conditions are not met, but not compensate when it is there full. Functionality this is theft. Not what I expect from a bank.
