ABSA cannot accept money from a credit card from a different bank?

Due to living far from the hustle bustle, and a last minute flight arrangement, we had the morning before the flight to organise a Cash Passport. I have a limit on the amount of cash I can withdraw in a day, the ABSA banking app was not working and ABSA had no way of accepting a credit card from another bank (of which I have two - from two different banks).

So the child left for America with a lot less money in his Cash Passport than planned.
