ABSA cancels household insurance and can't be bothered to inform client

<p>I found out today while trying to track a claim submitted on the 4th May 2017 that ABSA Insurance cancelled my policy in December 2016 as one of many that "were not profitable". The problem is that they did not bother to inform me that I had been cancelled until I tried log a claim for a collpased boundry wall. Apparently they sent out letters to a non-exsistent box number in October 2016 - not a registered letter either, just normal South African post! My advice to anyone with ABSA insurance would be to check the state of your policy - you may have been terminated and are labouring under the impression that you are covered just because you paid your fees.</p>
