Absa builing insurance a hoax

Absa you are a disgrace. You have no regards for your clients and your business ethics is non-existent. I lodged a claim on my absa builing insurance policy on 11 July 2022. I have a leaking geyser and a leaking geyser as a result. The Geyser was repaired a week ago just for us to discover yesterday that it was leaking at the exact same spot again. The problem is that the cupboard was due for replacement today. Your appointed plumbers came out for the second time yesterday to repair their shody workmanship and today the carpenters came to replace the cupboard. Just for us to discover that the geyser is still leaking right onto the new cupboard. I phoned your call centre and I tried to phone the plumber, but I got no feedback. I few hours later I phoned your call centre again just to be told that you will not take responsibility for the ongoing leak and that it is as a result of our lack of maintenance. Our lack of maintenance on which your plumber worked yesterday. I am insulted and angry. Your business ethics leaves much to be desired for. Due to your rude *********** behavour a brand new cupboard is busy being damaged for no fault on our part. One star according to this review is generous. You deserve a zero star rating

Thank you absa, due to your total incompetence we are now sitting with a brand new kitchen cupboard that is damaged do to an ongoing water leak. I informed you of this numerous times, but I got no support from you. So not only do we need a new geyser now, but the brand new cuboard needs to be replaced as well. We will not cover this cost. Rather keep your appointed plumber accountable that refused to came out when they were contacted due to their poor workmanship. The geyser clearly bursted, but they were not competent enough to see this.

No, I don't find the above in order.

I need to clean up water by the hour as I get no assistance from absa.

This matter is still not resolved. I had to appoint my own plumber to attend to the ongoing leak seeing as your appointed plumber failed to attend to the leak. I expect absa to settle this bill. Further, as stated numerous times befoe the brand new kitchen cupboard got water damage as a result of the ongoing leak which your appointed plumber refused to attend to so your carpenter needs to replace the cupboard once again. This will also be for absa's account as I reported this as soon as the carpenter left after the inital cupboard replacement. Finally, the geyser is not heating the water. So even though I managed to stop the water, it is still not heating. I need an electrican due to this electrical fault as well. I am tired of having no warm water in my kitchen for more than 2 weeks already.

Matter still not resolved. This claim was lodged on 11 July 2022 and to date we are still sitting with a geyser that is burst and leaking water. Not to mention the brand new cupboard that is damaged as a result. I warned absa about this numerous times before but you ignore me. I wish to place on record that I had to get in my own independant plumber just to fix the poor workmanship of your appointed plumbers on the fittings of the geyser. They used window putty in an attempt to contain the leak out of the geyser. This is unacceptable. Meanwhile the geyser still needs to be replaced as the water constantly leaks out of it. Your assessor was supposed to do a further inspection today at 09:30. He whatsapped me to inform me that he was going to be late. I could not wait any longer and had to leave for work. I have lost more than 2.5 work days while I wait for your appointed contractors to assist me and solve this problem but I am sitll stitiing with the same predicament as the day I lodged this claim. Is this your norm of service delivery?

Well Rufus still don't understand my problem.

I need a geyser replacement as the current one bursted, however your appointed plumber will not set foot in our house again as they contributed a lot to this nightmare.

I need confirmation from absa that I can appoint my own independent plumber for which absa will pay inorde order to solve this matter once and for all.

Matter still not resolved. A few days short of 3 months since this claim was lodged. Your carpenter failed to honour an appointment this morning for which I had to take time off work once again. How will you address this matter without even inconveniencing us one bit further?
