ABSA BREAKS CLIENT CONFIDENTIALITY

This is the THIRD time I have posted this and have not yet received a reply from HelloPeter.

I received a phone call recently from a courier company wanting to deliver my renewed ABSA credit card. I was asked a lot of security questions to identify myself. I am deeply disturbed by this.

(1) I never gave ABSA permission to use a courier company - I have to pay for their delivery services

(2) I had no means of establishing whether this really is a courier company phoning me, asking me to give personal information to identify myself

(3) The courier company had all my personal details: my full names, ID number, birth date, home address, postal address, home telephone number, work number, cell number. This is a HUGE security risk. WHO GAVE ABSA PERMISSION TO GIVE OUT MY PERSONAL DETAILS???????? This is a SERIOUS BREACH of CLIENT CONFIDENTIALITY. I now understand also where all the people who make the spam calls I receive daily get my details from! This is despite the fact taht ABSA advocates that they don't give out details to anybody!
