ABSA - Bottomless money eating pit.

Worst bank EVER. My account was closed due to not being used. Went to the bank and asked them if costs will accumulate till its been paid. The response was no. After a few months I get a statement of R2500+ I visit the branch, the manager said its the subscription fee (That is useless, because the account is closed) And said i must pay cash into the account as it can not receive money digitally because it is closed. I made arrangement to pay R500 a month. Today I go deposit my R590 and was told by the teller the bank charges is R90 on R590 to deposit. So if I deposit R590 only R310 goes of on my debt. R90 bank charges and R190 subscription fee Absa takes for a subscription I cannot use...

I cant wait to get rid of ASBA.

Its better leaving your money under your matrass as to bank with ABSA
