Absa Bond Rates

After being a loyal ABSA client for over 10 years and being almost begged to stay whenever I complained on here, Absa has the audacity to charge me a higher interest rate for a bond mortgage. Obviously loyalty means nothing to this bank.

I'll finally make the move to leave this bank. Bye *****es.

Reviewer Update

After this complaint was supposedly taken seriously, I received a final quotation which was even worse than the original quotation. And that is worse than banks I've never even once banked with in my entire life.

This complaint was therefore completely futile. So I'll only respond so that other people can view this complaint and know not to bank with you for these reasons:

1. Loyalty means nothing to ABSA.

2. Poor service

3. High fees

4. Being levied incorrect fees for months and only being able to be recompensated for three months. Yet, I still continued banking with you.

5. Having had a gold credit card for months whereas I app**** and was granted a platinum credit card which resulted in many confusions.

6. Inability to provide a cheque card with a chip. I've therefore for years had a cheque card that can be swiped without a PIN. And therefore had to minimise the amount I kept in this account, in fear that my card might be ******. And therefore always used my credit card not because I needed the credit. And I'm sure this influenced my credit rating.

7. The embarrassment endured when always having to pay with a credit card because people assume you can't afford to live without credit.

Thanks for wasting my time.

Goodbye.
