ABSA BANK THREE RIVERS - THEY DON'T WANT YOUR BUSINESS

I went to ABSA Three Rivers this morning to try and open a bank account for my two boys. The "consultant" immediately said it would be impossible as my boys have a single surname and I have a double barrel surname. The double barrel surname is reflected on their birth certificate!!! After a big fight I told her to call someone who knows more than her and she called who I assume is the Manager. He seemed to think after trying exceptionally hard that the bank may actually accept an official document from home affairs - wow who knew such brilliance existed! Then of course I had to proofs of address but each only showed one surname. It made no difference that I have had a bank account at ABSA for the past 25 years there is obviously absolutely no way they can open the account. The service at this branch is absolutely atrocious. I suppose I have to find a different bank willing to help me.
