Absa Bank Sandton City closure

I had an appointment with Home Affairs at Absa Bank Sandton for a new ID card only to find them closed 'due to Covid'! No alternative and they are the only Absa in Joburg who provide this service. Why could they not have informed home affairs to block out the slots for the duration of the closure. It takes time, effort and money to get to Sandton City. Everyone was just milling around, all equally frustrated and flabbergasted.
