Absa Bank notify me and bank cards

Absa changed their notify me settings so that now all notifications are in app. I would prefer to get smses as I previously did, however, there is no option to change back to SMS. When I phoned to ask about this I was told I need to go into the bank to change it. This is unacceptable. Every time I go into the bank it takes several hours, the systems are always terribly slow and nothing is ever done correctly. None of my new bank cards tap correctly, I always have to enter a pin - why request something and then it doesnt even work anyway.
