Absa Bank Lansdowne

Absa Bank Lansdowne is really the weirdest branch I've been to in my life. I couldn't sit down or wait inside in the waiting area while my husband was sorting out the Absa app on his mobile due to "covid"... because ZAIB one of the staff members said so. But yet the bank is empty. Instead I had to stand outside and wait. All this with a painfull ankle. Then a few moments later 3 other customers comes in at one time together and another couple who just wanted to change a address for the wife. So clearly protocols only applies to certain people and when it suits certain staff. Another staff member came out and acknowledge me and asked if I need help and that I could wait inside as she was concerned of my injury and saw I'm uncomfortable. So many customers complaining as to why tellers are closed on a Wednesday as they might as well close the bank then. Security is very abrupt with the customers as well. While standing there many customers turned around and was unhappy when they left. My husband and I will surely not recommend ABSA Lansdowne to anyone and won't visit that branch again. We'll rather go to Kenilworth Centre as they were so helpful and friendly when we opened the 1 savings account.
