Absa bank is not reliable at all.

I had a bond finance with Absa in 2010 when I purchased my first house for almost R400k, I paid it in full 2014 and when I went to Promenade branch to clear it the guy that assisted me said I don’t need to take the original title deed I can keep my bond with the bank Incase I need financial assistance in the future it will be easy..He said no need to continue with the life cover as my bond was fully paid, so we cancelled it..To my surprise in 2020 I went to the bank for financial assistance, got a shock to find out that I have again a life cover with them that was not debiting from my bank, I was informed that Absa was paying for my life cover and I had interest on my account since it was them paying for it..I asked how is that possible without me signing any document when it comes to this life cover? They said the guy that helped me clear my bond didn’t let me sign a form that shows that I wanna keep my bond open, and at that time I was owing them R32000, without me knowing..I felt so disappointed and played upon as they were making money from my investment with them..How is it possible for the bank to pay for my life cover from their own money without deducting from my own personal bank, Bcoz if they did I would have went to them right away and sorted this issue immediately… That had me really believing other people when they say Absa bank is ripping its clients and I am a living example…Very disappointed with their service and wrongfully ways of dealing with clients investments.. Absa bank has shown me that the banks are not reliable with our investments and are not safe at all😡
