ABSA BANK is a ****

Horrible customer service. Four months ago, just before National lockdown I visited absa branch and I wanted to switch all of my absa policies and loan to start debiting from my new standard bank account since they approved my Home loan with very reasonable interest rate compare to absa. I was advised to send an email to *** and explain my story since the country is on lockdown. I've sent email on the 23 March as advised and absa did acknowledge receipt of my email on the 07 April and promised to assist me. At the end of April only loan repayment debit order went through from my standard bank account. Absa kept on debiting from my absa cheque account and debit orders returned as unpaid. The account accumulated interest and charges up to R 2 400 to date. On 30 April, I have sent follow up email just to check why other accounts were not switched to my standard bank account. There were no reply, after serval calls I have made there were not reply again. Now my account is in arrears and it has been handed over to debt collectors. Mind you, these accounts are Absa flexi funeral and ultimate protector. I even stated on the email that, if this email is directed to the incorrect department, please direct it to the relevant department or advise me accordingly.
