ABSA BANK IMCOMPETENT
I had a loan with Absa which fell into arrears with. I have been paying what I can every month until they offered me a discount on the settlement amount. I happened to have the cash and made full payment on 15.11.2023 and sent the POP to the consultant who sent me the settlement discount letter. To date I am struggling to get a paid up letter from them to update my credit record. I have mailed and called but I am being giving the run around. This is exactly why I moved all my banking products bank to me previous bank as the service is disgusting!

At this point I can create an album with all the reference numbers received from Absa.
I called an hour ago just before I sent another mail and the lady said she was going to do the letter and send it, I am still waiting. I am not sure what happened to all the other consultants that was also assigned to this matter and have it resolved, I am so done with Absa. What is so difficult to send a paid up letter? The money cleared more than 30 ago, if you have a proper bookkeeper, the funds should have been assigned to my account as well as I sent a POP the moment I made the payment. This is totally unacceptable.
I need that letter today!.
