ABSA Bank - deceased estate.
ABSA Bank - deceased estate We have been trying since 20 March 2024 to get ABSA Bank to close and consolidate the residual of my mother-in laws estate from an ABSA bank account. This has been an ongoing saga with them, and every time you call you get the story, "it is in payment process and should be processed in the next 7 days". These 7 days has been ongoing for about 3 months, considering the many phone calls and emails to get piecemeal information of what is required to facilitate the process. With every new phone call made or email written, another document is required, drawing out closure even more. Nobody at the above office has ever considered picking up a phone or writing an email as part of the process of closure - I get the feeling they only answer calls at the call centre and we as the victims have to do all the work. How long can it take to transfer funds and close an account???
This payout issue is the pinnacle of ineptitude and wanton disdain for the client.
Thank you for your response. The case number to which you refer is incorrect. Please note that I was informed to use case number C***6 for all correspondence. My assumpsion in this matter is that the case numbers do not correspond, the reason for the delay.
I trust that you will be able to facilitate what has to be done, and looking forward to your feedback.
Kind regards.
