Absa Bank Clearwater Branch - Worst System Ever!

I opened a private banking cheque account with an overdraft online and uploaded all the required FICA documents. I then received a mail saying my account has been successfully opened and a consultant will contact me to activate the account. After waiting a few days without a call, I decided to go to the branch. I waited in a long queue in the branch for a customer service consultant who told me there is a FICA hold on my account and she would need to do FICA now before she can issue me with a card. I agreed and she proceeded. She then ran in to an issue on the system because it picked up duplicate profiles in my name and there was no manager available to help her match my profiles. I was then asked to go see a sales consultant to assist. The sales consultant began matching my profiles but the system in the branch was so slow that it took him nearly 30 minutes and again he ran into issues that required him to call IT for assistance. I left the branch after wasting 2 hours of my day without anything being done. My account has still not been opened, there is now a ticket logged with IT and I need to wait for Absa so sort out their IT issues before that can assist me. It's ridiculous... Absa recently did an entire rebranding exercise and you would think they would have updated their system at the same time. How does a bank create multiple profiles for a user with the same ID number? It does not make sense. I am very frustrated by this. The consultants who helped me were very friendly but the overall experience was let down by the Absa system. I need this resolved ASAP or I am going in to close these accounts and go to a bank that can assist me without such issues.
