ABSA Bank bringing out the worst in me.

ABSA returned my debit order for Vodacom, due to a shortfall of R20.00 (according to a "specialist" at ABSA HQ). My online banking notifications, as supp**** by the mighty ABSA, show that I made a deposit to cover the debit order, 4 hours prior to the D/O being returned by them. The deposit was a transfer from another account in my name, and also at ABSA, so there was no delay in the money showing in my account. Bearing in mind that the deposit was for R500, and the shortfall was only R20.00.

I visited ABSA in Brackenfell to find out why this happened. The lady attending to me, said she could also not see why D/O was returned, after she drew a transaction history for the day. Thereafter she called the "expert", who showed a calculation that confirmed the R20.00 shortfall.

Gone are the days where a client would be notified before D/O was merely returned, due to a R20.00 shortfall, according to the bank records, where in actual fact, a deposit to cover the R20.00, was made before the D/O was presented.

They do not take into account that I have been banking with them for the past 40 years. No respect for my exemplary record, that will now be *****ed due to their actions.

Shame on you. You are useless.
