ABSA Bank Avoid Paying Late Estate to Increase their interest on this Accounts.

I am the excecuter of my late fathers estate, and on the 2nd August 2023, I submitted all documents required for a death claim at the Welkom branch. The documents were acknowledged to be correct and send to the relevant department, I then did a telephonic followed-up on 9th September 2023 and spoke to Palesa Magagamale, and she said to me all is in order and the claim will be paid in 7 working days.

But it sounded to me that the documents were getting attention for the first time since I submitted at Welkom. I followed up to day the 26th October 2023, and spoke to Lerato Mpolokeng which said the account is put on hold. So I wonder how long it takes to pay Estate accounts as this is now delaying the process.

I gave my number to all the people assisting me at Absa concerning this matter, but I think it's ignored for only reasons known to Absa. I follow-up and I am told all its okay but don't understand why the account is on hold.

Our lawyers need to submit to the Master at the court to finalize the late PS Matoli estate. I have communicated with other banks my father did business with and never had this headache. Please resolve this matter
