ABSA bank are ***** and *******

Just after Lockdown, I was offered ( Yes offered ) a bank holiday on my credit card. Because I was impacted salary wise, I decided to to accept their offer. A few months later, I was offered a further extension, which due to circumstances, I accepted. Last month ( September ) the phone calls started on a daily basis. I told Absa that I would be paying my card from the end of October and was told that that was in order. I asked them to put a note on their system, which they agreed to do. But still the calls continued and when I asked them to look on their system for my agreement with them, I was told that the notes they put on their system deleted after a week. I spoke to ABSA again on Wednesday 7 October, my call to them, which lasted a hour, at my expense and confirmed my agreement with them regarding payment the end of October. On the 8th October, I nearly had a heart attack. R9972.13 was missing from my savings account. I immediately called their ***** department and was told that ABSA Credit Card had transferred the money from my Savings Account without my knowledge or consent. The money in my savings account was money I saved from not having to drive through the lockdown. The money was all I had to my name and was there to get me through October, as I am working full time again. But ABSA took it all and left me destitute again. I must add at the time of my bank holiday, I had never missed a payment on my credit card, nor was I over the limit. I can not even access the R9972.12 because it was not not deducted from my credit card balance, but taken for interest which Initially I was told would not be charged. ABSA you have ****** my money and I would like you to know that you have crippled a 67 year old woman with your actions. I am going to contact the banking ombudsman regarding this matter. I also wish to tell you that I never used my credit card once during the banking holiday. ABSA your treatment of me was disgusting and unprofessional. How many other clients are you going to do this to? ABSA clients, if you are on a bank holiday and have any money in another ABSA account. Withdraw it quickly, because if you don’t, ABSA will just take it! Oh by the way, even if you have an agreement with ABSA, you’ll receive a email from ARA Anthony, Richards & Associated ( Attorneys) demanding payment from you too! Shame on you ABSA!!!!!
