ABSA BANK A DEFINITE NIGHTMARE !!!!

I am absolutely fed up with ABSA Bank Deceased Estate's Department!!

I have been requesting since January 2022 that the funds in the account for a late person be transferred to the Estate Late Banking Account that we have opened. It is end of May 2022 and this has still not been done. We as executors have to wind up an estate within 6 months (REQUIREMENT BY THE MASTER'S OFFICES). You do the math as to how many of those months we have been waiting on ABSA to do their bit.

The delay in winding up my estates are due to ABSA not fulfilling its responsibilities with regards to the following: The funds have not been transferred and therefore we cannot pay any of the creditors, while the interest on these accounts accumulate which is detrimental to the estate. Some families are in urgent need of these funds that ABSA has been keeping so secretively. BE VERY CAREFUL IN WHAT BANKS YOU INVEST/KEEP YOUR MONEY AS SOME OF THESE BANKS DO NOT CARE ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR FUNDS / TO YOUR FAMILY UPON YOUR PASSING.
