ABSA BANK

I'v been with ABSA bank since the old Boland Bank and Volkskas Bank days (+- 35 yrs) They are very quick to give you money when you have plenty but when your situation changes they are not inclined to give you a gap. I lost my job due to illness and was hounded by ABSA. I paid every month but not the full amount and just got one threat after another even though I explained my situation to them. When it came to my vehicle payment, I became 3 months behind and explained to the consultant what m situation was. He advised me that I needed to catch up one month and things would be fine. I did so but unknown to me ABSA still went ahead and obtained a court order to repossess my vehicle. The first I knew about it was when the sheriff arrived at my door. Dispicable behaviour. Not interested in discussions, just payments. I had a perfect credit record till I lost my job. The other banks were willing to put payment plans in place but not ABSA Bank, ABSA Card or ABSA Vehicle. I have now paid my vehicle in full, paid my overdraft in full and closed my accounts. I will never use ABSA again.
