Absa (bad client services)

We had some savings in our secondary Absa account and end of February Absa capitalized that money after there was the normal debit order that was deducted as well. We only saw that 4 March 2025. We contacted Absa home loan department via email and they just said that they can't do anything for us. It has been capitalized. That afternoon we went to Absa branch in Brakpan trying our utmost best to explain that we need the amount that was capitalized because that money is savings for my son's braces. The just said they can't help us and that we must phone the flexi reserve home loan department within the bank. We spoke to at least 5 different people and they told us that they can't do a reversed capitalization. According to Absa we need to do a readvance if we want the R22 450 back that they have capitalized. WE DON'T WANT TO DO A READVANCE ON MONEY THAT WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE ABSORBED BY DIE ACCOUNT!!! On 5 March 2025 we contacted Absa again but no one was able to assist us with the situation. On 5 March 2025 we emailed Absa home again saying that we need assistance or we will move all 7 accounts with Absa to another finacial institution. A lady by the name of Geraldine Diedericks did email us 12 March 2025. We immediately contacted her. She said the she was assigned to look into the complaint but did'nt had a chance yet and the she will come back to us. 13 March 2025 we emailed the lady asking to please let us know when there is any feedback. On 14 March we emailed the lady again but with no feedback whatsoever as on 17 March 2025. That money was capitalized and we need it for our son's braces. We saved up especially for that reason. If we don't get a reversed capitalizarion of that amount we will leave Absa with all 7 accounts that we have with them at the moment. We have been loyal clients of Absa from 2001 and feel we need the assistance and feedback necessary.

Received an email just now from Absa saying that the case is closed and that we should contact Geraldine Diedericks for further information. We did phone the lady once and emailed twice with no feedback at all.
