ABSA / BA CREDIT CARD - Application number ***

I app**** for the ABSA/BA credit card that was on promotion for 9000 avois online as per the invite. I was immediately accepted with a credit limit subject to sending the FICA which I did . I did a follow up telephonically and was told that it was in processing. I waited and waited and then followed up but was told that my ID needs to be resent as it was too light . I darkened it and resend it . By the way only after I called then I received an email confirming that they needed a darker copy. I also received a call from KAREN who assured me that if I sent a better copy I should be ok . I informed her that I needed someone to explain the full promotion to me and that I didnt want to miss out on the competition besides receiving the points . Too date no one has called. I called Absa and was now told that my application had expired the day before and that i must send a new application which I refused as it wasnt my fault that it expired . I complained to the ABSA Complaints dept and was told it takes up to 8 days to come back to me. I find the attitude of ABSA and the consultants very poor in view of the fact that they operate in a service industry and dont seem to be helpful and a few times whilst talking to them the line mysteriously dropped.

I feel that why should I reapply for a card whose application lapsed due to no fault of mines. Also what is the purpose of looking into my credit rating from the credit agencies twice. I feel that this effects my ratings.
