ABSA Avios Credi Card- Pathetic Service

This is a post with regards to ABSA's Avios Credit Card.

2 months back I went to deposit monthly installment for my Avios Care. Upon arrival, the ATM did not allow me to do so as it advised that the card is invalid. I then called the service centre up to query my card. I was then advised that my card expired and they will be ordering me a new Avios card. Weeks went by and I then contacted them and was me advised that I should pay the installment of about R3000 , which i did the very same night. I then called a few days later again and was told that the Avios Product is no longer available and has been cancelled. I was told that I would need to pay back the full outstanding amount and will not be receiving a new card. I then requested that the matter be escalated but received no feedback thereafter. I then called back again and was informed of the same, they also advised that I am not eligable for a 'new card' as my instalments were late.

I am very disappointed with the service that I received and would like to highlight the issues I experienced.

- I found it very difficult to pay the installments on time due to the fact that numerous ATM's would not allow me to deposit therefore my installments were delayed. - I was not informed that the product was no longer going to be avaliable. - I was not advised of the processes that would follow when the product was cancelled (A new card would need to be ordered? The outstanding amount would need to be paid? , etc) - There was a lack of communication and incorrect advice was provided.
