ABSA AVAF NIGHTMARE

I recently sold my car that was financed through AVAF. The settlement was provided by the AVAF department was valid until 02/03/2021. The Settlement was paid and reflected on my account on the 01/03/2021. Subsequently my installment was deducted on the 02/03/2021. I phoned the AVAF department and was told that they will proceed to finalize and close the account and that I should call the following morning to request the refund of my installment. I did same but was told that the refund will be paid by 2021/03/08. This never happened and when I phoned again today I was told that the refund was WRITTEN OFF and that I must wait an additional 3 days for Absa to decide if they will refund me. This after being informed by two of their consultants that a refund will be paid.

After this experience I will never suggest you finance anything through Absa. I am completely and utterly disgusted with the consultants level of service to me and will advise anyone to think twice before utilizing this bank's services
