ABSA ATM Swalllows Cash!!!!!!!! And no help!!!!!!
I am getting no joy or assistance whatsoever from ABSA, and this is an urgent issue and it is my money, not theirs. Their ATM swallowed R4000 that my aunt deposited for me at their ATM in Bracken City, Alberton on Monday 2 April 2018. She called the hotline immediately but was told to visit the bank the next day because the 2nd was a public holiday. This already is so upsetting because I needed the money urgently. But we gave them the benefit of the doubt, that they would attend to it immediately becuase it is not a serious case like *****, my aunt deposited HER OWN MONEY TO HELP ME. So, she went to the bank on Tuesday - 3 April 2018 and they created a case for her that was supposed to take 3-4 working days to be resolved and for the money to reflect in my account. Today is the 4th day and the amount is still not reflecting in my account. I called the branch to check progress and instead of helping the lady says my aunt needs to call. My aunt is a pensioner for goodness sake, she does not need this stress! She gave me the case number and everything, and I am the recipient, my details and account details and ID number are on the case description! Why cannot they not help! So I emailed the lady Florence Mpolokeng Mokoena whose details are on the case number as a contact and she has not responded. Please can someone assist with this issue urgently. It is now the weekend and I need the money urgently for my family and child! I am having constant issues with ABSA. It's just been a nightmare banking with them. This is such a simple technical issue to resolve, this should take less than a few hours to resolve, you call the ATM-powered company and transfer the money, simple.
