ABSA ATM Malfunction

I attempted to deposit money into my cheque account today and after inserting the card and following the instructions to the point where I inserted the money R8500.00 The machine then took the money and it started to count but made a strange noise. After making the noise about three times the machine gave my card back and no conformation or slip was dispenced. I called someone to assist me and the machine proceded with shutting down. The person that works at the branch instructed me to lay a complaint inside at the branch but I was hesitent to leave the ATM. She assured me it would be fine. I was questioned in a manner that made me feel like I did something wrong which in my opinion is totally unprofessional. I tried to phone the call center to get the ATM department but I could only get other departments that were not helpfull at all. So now I am at a point where I have started to comunicate with ABSA via facebook and nobody is taking responisility to update the customer personally! It feels like nobody wants to own up and fix the mistake! The money was saved to pay a part of my wedding and now I have to make alternate arrangements and shift payment all because ABSA does not want to take me serious? R8500.00 is not a small amount for me, it took long to save this up! All I am asking is that this matter be settlled as soon as possible as I have commitments. And I am not going to take time of work to fix a problem that has nothing to do with me! This is not the first time I have had to fight ABSA to fix my account and thus I am considering moving my homeloan and account to another bank....

ATM number: 13083

Email address: ***

Case ***
