ABSA ATM damaged my R200 note whilst depositing
I was depositing R600 into my account this morning 05/07/2018 at Southdowns ABSA ATM, I followed all the steps unting the machine requested that I insert the notes, i did insert R600 (2xR200 and 2x R100) then the machine said some notes cannot be accepted and I must remove those notes...it kept on saying that maybe for about 3 minutes but i could hear that the machine is busy...finally it ejected all the money with my one R200 note torn (damaged) and a piece of the note was stiil stuck on the machine...it then promt me to re-insert the money if I wish to continue...i selected that option then it opened and I then took out the remaining piece of the R200 note and re-inserted the R400 and it went through just fine.....the problem is I cannot even try to fix this note since one piece is still in the machine and I doubt any shop can accept such note, ...how can my issue be resolve? I still have all the deposit slips...
The details of the ATM is as follows: ATM name: SOUTHDOWNS BRANCH 2 ATM NR: 13385 SEQ NR: 007222 Date: 2018/07/05 Time: 07:08:42
