ABSA APP VERIFICATION DOES NOT WORK AND NO ONE AT ABSA CAN FIX IT

Since about November 2019 I've been having a problem with verifications not being sent to my Absa App. I have two accounts and both are affected but not always the same way at the same time. It first appeared when I tried to buy electricity on our business account, but worked for other transactions. Then it spread to all transactions requiring verification on the business account, but the personal account worked fine.

Now the same is happening with my personal account. Some times, after several tries, I am directed to the security section of the menu to generate a token, but not always. When I need to enter the verification token when using internet banking, my personal account tells me that it's an invalid password, but generally it works for the business account. Besides hours on the phone with many different, often contradictory answers, and hours spent in the branch over six visits, the problem persists. Today it took about 45 minutes with the branch manager to reinstall the app and set up everything from the beginning. While still in the branch I successfully set up a recipient, but at home tonight it's not working for both my business and personal accounts. Now I need to ask my wife to do it on her phone. Most embarrassing is when visiting a new supplier and setting them up for EFT. The goods are loaded already and then the app refuses to work and they look at you as if you are trying to **** them. I will be very surprised if I get a reply to this. I am still waiting for a reply to my enquiry ref Case C-***5 sent on 25 11 2019 about the ridiculously small R1000.00 electricty that one can buy on the app. FNB lets you buy up to R9999.99. Our accountants laughed and said we should go to Nedbank. Perhaps we should take their advice.
