ABSA and ********** debit orders

For over a year now I have been mulling closing my account with ABSA due to the ********** debit orders that I have to keep reversing.

This week it reached a boiling point with two new ones appearing. Where is the protection I think I have on my account from ABSA. How can someone load debit order without my consent. How come I don't get similar issues with my accounts at other banks. I can only assume ABSA processes are not stringent or they are making money from this. Whatever the reason I am tired of paying reversal charges.

I will be quietly closing my account and remove the stress of checking every message from Absa at month end to figure out who is feasting on my hard earned money.
