ABSA and BA card - Ridiculous

********** transactions with BA Card. Called on Sunday 28th at 08h53. Spoke to 3d security as OTPs received were not for me. security transferred me to *****. They advised me to go to branch and open ***** case. When I asked for a reference number was told to use gents name as a reference. Went to branch and they did the necessary but neglected to open a case with ***** department, In the meantime ABSA treat me as a ******** and the real ********* make off with R32,500. Calling to follow up on the status and no case has been opened by the branch, ***** dept can't assist. How do transactions get processed when OTPs are needed? What is the point of a OTP! What a ridiculous system. ABSA need to do better. BA cards are not recognised and the service is well below par. Any idea what it feels like to be a victim of this *****? Where is your empathy ABSA!?

I sincerely apologize for the lack of service you received, the branch needs to open a ***** case for you as the forensic to investigate and resolve.

Thank you Claudette for replying. If you read my statement you will note that I did go to the branch and part of the issue was between the branch and ***** dept holding each other responsible. There needs to be some education at the branch level as when this happens, your clients are left feeling very vulnerable and exposed and hardly in a position to deal most effectively with this. Your staff should respect this. I do however sincerely appreciate your response and most importantly, the fact that ABSA has corrected the transactions and let me know. Thank you!
