ABSA AGENTS TREAT CLIENT LIKE *******

I just received a call from an agent from the collections department. I explained to her that I currently have an arrangement to pay R1200.00 I further told her that I understand that these calls are automated and there are no notes from previous calls. She then followed to say what I think is an arrangement is actually restructuring and she knows better than me because she works for ABSA. I said no it is not restructuring and she cut me off to say DONT SHOUT. I said excuse me because I did not like the tone of her voice and I did not shout at her, I spoke in the same tone as when the conversation started. She continued to tell me that I have a big problem and she is going to send me through for my car to be repossessed and hung up. Is this how you treat clients that are not able to pay their account? I have been making payments on car for years and now that I am having difficulty I am spoken to like a piece of ****.

I am in a difficult situation but that does not mean that I do not deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. I have always been good with my payments and now that I’ve hit a difficult patch, it gives consultants the right to speak to speak to me like ****? I am committed to honoring my arrangement and proceeding in the necessary way to honor my debt. I have never said that I do not want to pay I need my car but I also do not deserve to be treated with disrespect. If that is the way ABSA comes conducts it’s business then it is okay for you to come and repossess the car.

I am currently in areas with FNB but never has a consultant been so rude and blatantly disrespectful. This is just a rough patch! I am going to get out of the situation I am in, I don’t need more stress by a call Centre agent telling me she will just get my car repossessed and hangs up.

I would like a follow up on this call received at 16:48 from number ********** .

If my car must be repossessed because of agents that want to speak to clients in any way they please and I won’t let them, so be it. I am no one’s delinquent and I don’t care how broke I am, I will never allow it. I deserve to be treated and spoken to with dignity and respect just because I am a client, I hit a rough patch, it happens and will get out of it!
