Absa adds debit orders for services to your account without your permission
I just received an sms that reads the following:
Dear ABSA client, we failed to get in contact with you. Please send proof of vehicle insurance not older than 3 months for your Absa finance agreement ********* to *** / fax *** within 14 days. Failure to adhere will result in an insurance premium of R1,585.10 being added to your instalment. Please include your ID number or Absa vehicle and asset finance account number when sending your proof of insurance. For any further queries please contact us on ***. Please don't reply to this SMS.
How dare you just assume without my permission that you can just add services to my account. I DO NOT give you permission to add any services to my account and at the first opportunity I will be removing myself from ever using your services/products again. I see you have done this to other customers, just adding services to their accounts and it’s utterly disgusting!!! You wonder why people have stopped answering your calls? Spam that’s why, your company amongst how many other companies bombard us to the point with calls for selling services that we’ve had to resort to using services like true caller and either blocking or avoiding spam calls.
Just one last thing, if having proof of insurance was so important to the approval of vehicle finance why was the finance not subject to this when getting approval? Don’t just decide you can do what ever the hell you want after a person signs a contract with you or you will face legal action. Funnily enough majority of the spam I have been receiving started after I received finance from your company, co-incidence? I really wonder.
